Abstract:
In this talk I am going to discuss some new developments in algebraic geometry over groups and free actions on Lambda-hyperbolic metric spaces. Elimination processes (far-reaching generalizations of Makanin-Razborov process) provide a unifying link between these two areas. Some applications to fully residually hyperbolic groups will be given.
