Open problems about the geometry of the Cayley graph of a group
Sean Cleary, City College of New York
Abstract Understanding the geometry of the Cayley graph of a group can be an efficient way of understanding many properties of the group. Both the local geometry and the global geometry of the Cayley graph can yield information about a group. I will discuss open problems about both the small-scale and the large-scale geometry of groups, with an emphasis on problems where standard methods have not been effective.
